myself is Er.Harjinder pal working as H.O.D. Q.C. at jalandhar. i feel we should take help of indian costitution in order to install the “Amrit Bani” in our gurudwara. we should file writ in the supreme court to achieve our mission. because every indian has right to join any religion or leave. 9464014730

I respect all religions but people are talking about replacing the Sri Guru Ganth Sahib Ji with the Amritbani in our Gurdwaras in the UK. I am against it being forced upon us. It should only be installed in new deras.

Sanjay there was a lot talk. It has happened in some gurdwaras but not all as there is a lot of resistence. Rest assured vast majority of the Ravidass temples in the UK have not had forceable installaltion of Amrit bani and do not accepted the politics of Dera Ballan -its spiritual body. Not everybody in the Ravidassia community is follower of Dera Ballan in the Punjab or in the UK, Dera Ballan were behind it all and its stooges in the UK. Undoubtedly there has been some violent resistence. They have been trying to take over the management committees of these gurdwaras through the electoral process and thus install the the Amritbani but have failed miserably. Whilst I welcome Amrit Bani as a piece of literature its authencity needs evidential verification. However Satgur Ravidassji never tried to setup a seperate religion for the chamar community but in his bani over and over again he emphasised like all other Satgurus from the Bhakti Movement his dislike of brahminical hindu system of social structure ie the caste system, the disabilities imposed, the suffering and the the treatment of the lower castes. He did not just campaign for the the chamars but the whole of the low castes as did Kabir,Nam Dev, Sain, etc who were all low castes saints.They belonged to not to just its respective community but to all the oppressed shudra community. Not many people understand Guru Ravidass’s Mission neither does Dera Balllan. The Ballan dera and who ever support them have a parochial political agenda of seperating the the Chamars from the mainstream sikh fold probably aided and abetted by the RSS, whose institute at Hardwar has 900 ph.d philosheres who job it it is to maintain and perpetuate the caste system and thus the hemegomy of the the brahmins in India, who are the real rulers of India today. The membership is strictly restricted to the brahmin caste. They have infiltrated sikhism and is being destroyed from within. The breakaway will do us no good. Instead of being part of a major world religion the Dera Ballan has made us part of nothing. They are neither Hindus nor SIkhs. My preference is that all chamars should be part of sikhism but preferably baptised sikhs with five K’s. Can you imagine every chamars in India that is 60 millions with the unifirm of Khalsa sikh and a large sword on his hand for the protection of his self respect and dignity. Who would dare to be disrespect him. Dr Ambedkar was learned and intellectual person and initially wanted our community to be pert of sikhs along with all other dalits. If the sikhs leadership had accepted his proposal in the 1930′s today there would have been about 300 million sikhs in whole of India.The oppression that happens to the dalits today would not happen. The dalits would have had a weapon and the spirit of a worrior in him and who would dare to touch him. Our confidence would be the confidence of lions not sheeps. We should be working and leading All the low (lallo) castes in organising themselves to take over Amritsar temple from the Jatts, (the bhago), who are only interrested in the booty of Amritsar Temple which is why they do not let anybody else get on to the Amritsar Gurdwara committee. They have stunted the growth of sikhims by rejecting Dr Ambedkars proposals. The Jatts are not in interested in the mission of Guru Nanak and Guru Govind only its booty. They only joined sikhism as mercenaries and not as missionaries. If only you knew what I know it will make you cry.
